A bit early for Valentine’s Day, here’s the Heart Nebula, IC 1805. It’s an emission nebula and resides just below Cassiopeia 7,500 light years away. Its classic red emission is due to ionized hydrogen gas. The night skies have recently been simply amazing in Vermont! I captured this with a 135mm f2 camera lens. Clear skies all!
