Yes. It’s uncomfortable but shouldn’t be painful, unless there’s a reason for pain - cysts, etc. The wand isn’t very big, and they use warm lube. They can see a lot better your internal organs with a transvaginal.

Have you ever had a pap smear? Similar, but they use a wand and are able to get better pictures of what's happening inside. They normally don't hurt.

It’s no biggie. It just sounds major. They put a 🍆 thing up inside, but there’s lots of lube, so it doesn’t hurt. It could be a little uncomfortable if you’re having pelvic pain/discomfort. (Kind of like having sex when you’re about to start your period.) The time planned is probably a guess at how much time you should set aside for the appointment, not how long the hands-on ultrasound will take. I’m chronically ill, and that’s one of the easiest tests I’ve had.

If that's the inside wand one, yeah I had one of those. Found out I have a tilted uterus and the tech was really sweet. My bestie came to the hospital eith me and let her know how nervous I was. That tech was a blessing. She said I've got pretty fallopian tubes to make me laugh.
