I'm flying to Vancouver/Victoria for one week of wandering around with virtually no plan. I'm excited. I'm also a little bit anxious that I have no plans. Any locals up there have some "must see" recommendations for an old fool who is ridiculously happy to be escaping Texas for a week? British Columbia

6 小時內	Marissa mlhmissy	Head down to The University of British Columbia and explore the Museum of Anthropology and the Beatty Biodiversity Museum. MOA sometimes runs tours that talk about the Haida culture and art which is very prominent in Vancouver.

7 小時內	Erin Allen erinallen_art	Mainland - Lynn Canyon Suspension bridge and hike! Also the Museum of Anthropology at UBC. Victoria - Royal BC Museum. Fluevogs for crazy cool shoes ($$$$). Stay away from the East Vancouver area downtown. La Terraza for the best Italian in Vancouver ($$$$). The Keg is great for a steak ($$$). The Naam for vegetarian ($$).

10 小時內	Rose Serrano-de Las Alas rose_de_las_alas	If you are going to Victoria, stay at Huntingdon Hotel. I use Booking.com. And add a little more, you’ll get buffet breakfast. It’s walking distance to Waterfront, Parliament Building, Empress Hotel. Visit also Harley Castle where they filmed the movie X-men. Another castle to see is Craigdarroch. Lastly, make sure you don’t miss the Butchart Gardens. For food, if you are into Chinese cuisine, check out Don Mee Dimsum is the best for me. It’s right in Chinatown. Enjoy your vacation! 😀
10 小時內	Pam Aishwarya Murray gulogirl	If you are visiting the Vancouver area and also Victoria you’ll need to take a ferry at some point. If you’re driving then you absolutely need a plan for that, without a reservation you will waste a full day waiting for a ferry.
11 小時內	Debi debimj	Great place to see is Chemainus for the Murals, Victoria for the 2nd largest Chinatow in North America, any side off Vancouver Island to see the Orcas and the wild life.Whistler, Grouse Mountain,Stanley Park. Okanagan valley wonderful area. Anywhere in Vancouver or Vancouver Island or Victoria you will not be disappointed.
