NGC6960 is located 2100 light years away in the constellation Cygnus. This is a small portion of a supernova that exploded approx 8000years ago known as Pickering’s Triangle and sits between what is called the Eastern and Western veils. The energy of this explosion amazes me, the nebula now expands over 110 light years across and is expanding at over 1 million miles an hour.
