I wouldn’t be so “pleased” to announce this. Consider for a moment that the content posted on Meta platforms is still subject to copyright, which Meta does not own, nor can it own or have a license to use it by merely saying it does. Here’s an example: someone posts a screencap of Beetlejuice in excitement for the new film. They don’t own the copyright and therefore are not authorized to transfer any sort of license to use it to Meta. Public ≠ free to use.
