Loving this thread.. another word that only exists in Scots but we don’t know it is ‘squint’. As in, ‘you threw it squint’ shouted my cousin when he was reffing a line out at a rugby match in NZ, and none of the players knew what he meant 😂. Anybody else got Scots words we thought the whole English speaking world uses but they actually have no idea what we are talking about?
