It depends. I’d say it’s worth watching, even if you haven’t read the book; maybe even more so if you haven’t. The visuals aren’t the strongest at first, but they do improve as the movie goes on. And just as a reminder, it is about abuse and a little statutory rape; except they are in Maine USA so it’s legal because of a Bill.
