So Donald Trump is behind in pretty much every national poll, but might win the election due to the peculiarities of the electoral college. It really undermines the "one person, one vote" intention of democracy if you can lose the popular vote and still take the presidency. Sure I don't like Trump. But I'd still be calling for electoral reform if the roles were reversed (Harris loses popular vote but wins the presidency).
