I love my daughter, but I did not want to be a mom today. I love my daughter, but all I wanted was my body to be my own for a day instead of having to feed & pump. I love my daughter, but i want and need a night of unbroken sleep. I love my daughter, but every time I leave the room she starts crying and it makes me feel like I’m getting stabbed in the chest. I love my daugter, but I have never been more resentful of my husband. I love my daughter. And I hate that I feel this way.

Some days were hard and all days were emotional. Just remember it will pass and you will feel like your old self again. Quickly. Make your husband help more (clean/sterilize feeding items, give bottle top ups if needed, do all diaper changes while home, take turns with nighttime routines, take babe for a walk to give you a small break, etc). Get more help and the resentment will go.Hugs
