Watching Kamala Harris's acceptance speech, I am struck by how much American political discourse is pure indoctrination & propaganda. The talk of the greatest democracy ever (questionable at best), stories only possible in America (false), how nobody loves freedom more than America (objectively false), greatest country on Earth, etc. It sounds suffocating, like the shouty propaganda of the old USSR.
