Music People, a question; For my vinyl collection, all artists are alphabetical. But what about the albums? Do you arrange them by year of release or alphabetically??? Currently they are alphabetical, but it's making my OCD twitch as the year order is wrong. But, I'm sure, if I organised them by year of release, them not being alphabetical would do the same... All help gratefully received!!

If I was looking through “Bowie” I would probably want to find a certain era rather than trying to remember what the LP was called

And sometimes a studio album gets recording date, like Coltrane prestige albums released treats later No perfect system , do what works for you and accept there will likely be ad hoc exceptions. Also mine are right to left because....well, I dunno, suits for room layout better, my Uncle makes fun of me

I wish I could organize all my CDs like that and in several groupings that is the ordering. But I have many more CDs than LPs so impossible to alphabetize them all.
