if you haven’t heard yet, developers are suggesting adding pickleball and resorts to 9 of our florida state parks. why do they need to be IN the park and built ON TOP OF green spaces??? driving through this state there are so many abandoned buildings and lots of land… why build new when we could clean up and reuse what is already there?

17 分鐘內	rangerkat	They have realized since covid that our parks can be a source of revenue and “ecotourism” is on the rise. But conservation lands are for the plants, animals, and aquifer. What they need to do is set aside more public spaces for outdoor activities and lodging that are near but not part of the conserved land.
