One of the reasons I believe TheAcolyte was cancelled is Disney is clearly trying to shift the focus back to making Star Wars films. Other than Skeleton crew, Andor, and Ahsoka season 2 no other live action D+ shows have been announced. I believe the D+ live action shows are coming to end for a bit with the exception being Mando. Depending on how much money Mando&Grogu makes, if it’s a huge success hell we might not even get a mando season 4 but a second Mando&Grogu movie with Ahsoka instead.
