I’ve been going back and forth on doing Gel-X at home for a while now, but am hesitant. 1. THERE ARE SO MANY KITS! I researched for HOURS and didn’t feel any more confident in a decision. 2. Beetles concerns causing confusion, misinformation, etc. 3. I currently do Kiss Salon Acrylic glue on sets in medium-long typically. I like to change every 1-2 weeks. Is this feasible without wasting so much of my time with removal? I’ve done acrylic & dip at home previous. nailsathome

9 小時內	Brittani Crum nail_bliss_by_brittani	Learn proper prep and you’ll be able to use any product you want. Product is just preference. If you’re worried about time the enhancements last it will always, always be a matter of proper prep no matter if it’s press ons, gel x, acrylics, poly gel etc. I suggest going on You tube and just searching “Nail prep steps” Cuticle prep, dehydration and priming are your main steps but there’s right ways and wrong ways to do those things so as not to damage nail or skin around nail. Hope this helps

Also if using press ons and you have a nail drill: lightly sand on the inside of your press on at base that touches your natural nail. Along with natural nail prep your press ons should be lasting well longer than a week. I do that with all press ons before shipping out. Makes a big difference when all these steps are taken ✌🏼

I also see a lot of people using a flash cure lamp to cure their gel thinking it’ll be enough. People say Beetles is loaded with HEMA, but the percentage is 10-15%, and safe HEMA levels in nail products are 35% and under. Ik people who have used Beetles for years without issue and people who got an allergy after a couple months.
