Change of scenery. Can get to beaches, mountains, and other states relatively easily. Love that is a small city with a bigger city feel (at times). Banking city (jobs). 4 seasons. ❄️ 🍁 ☀️ 🥵 I came here from Dallas. I say charlotte is a mini Dallas but with more things to do

Traffic is bad.

Parents moved us here 19 years ago. Now they live mainly in Thailand. They’re always ahead of the trend. So I expect to see more Americans emigrating in about 10 years.

for me it was work, warm weather, and the slower pace!

I went to visit a friend in Charlotte who lived in a townhouse community.  Her neighbor on one side had a Penn State flag, and her neighbor on the other had an Ohio State flag. That is exurban/ new suburb Charlotte in a nutshell.  she was originally from upstate New York, but then lived in the triangle for a long time

Because it’s a trend. I’m from the north and came down here just because, needed change of scenery after Covid and wanted to go to a major city in the Carolinas but not on the coast. I actually hate living here and will move away once I decide where to go.

Warmer weather, gives you the fast, nosey life like the city without the pollution

Idk but I wish they stopppp! This traffic is a nightmare.
