When I was about to turn 30, after writing 4-5 manuscripts that were rejected (politely), I wrote Carrie Pilby, about a single nerdy woman in the city, like me. It got published & made into a fun Netflix rom-com starring Nathan Lane, Bel Powley, Vanessa Bayer, Colin O’Donoghue and more, directed by the director of “To All The Boys…” It leaves Sept. 4.
