photographers, Is there any reason to buy a full frame for a higher price instead of an aps-c?

Full frames have a larger pixel area compared to a crop sensor with the same mp. For printing you have more to work with in editing. Will the camera take better photos in the same hands … No

A lot of reasons, it’s really up to the photographers needs. I love the pixel shift and reframe in mine. I also love that I can go into crop mode and still have 26 megapixels to play with.

Your lens is always going to be the most important factor in look of your photos, lowlight image quality, etc. it also depends on subject. Wildlife ID argue aps-c is often better ff unless you can afford like a 800 5.6 Put a 16mm f1.4 on aps-c and it'll have shallower dof and better lowlight performance than a FF with at 24mm f4.

Low light performance and the ability to push up the ISO range.

Yes, I wanted a 20mm lens full angle of view, not that of a 30mm. Had to be FF, for architectural photography.

What do you primarily take pictures of? Landscape, portrait, wildlife, sports?

Basically no. The whole FF APS thing is a scam. APS shooters can make startling good A2 prints. Save your money for a great photo trip. Cheers

Yes for the low light performance, eg iso 12800 on the fx3 vs iso 2500 on the fx30 (base iso)
