Politics is poisonous to problem-solving. Neither the pure left nor pure right are capable of working a real world solution. Because politics is about emotion, not engineering a good solution. Government should not employ politicians. It should employ capable and responsible get-it-done creative people who abhor half-baked ideas that smell of populism. The politicians should be on the sidelines, only cheering for the government when we have explained to them what the government is doing.
