one of the things that’s made social media extra unpleasant is the contentification of all kinds of posting. like, all it takes is the algorithm being weird one day to take some regular person’s regular post mildly complaining about a mildly inconsiderate thing their family member did(a tradition as old as the internet and family itself) and turn it into a semi-viral clusterfuck of strangers in the comment section giving unwarranted advice and less-warranted criticism. nobody gets to be normal
