Are we becoming a more ageist society? I live in the UK (Scotland) and in my day to day life I don’t encounter it so much but on social media I see it all the time. I’ve twice today already been more or less told to shut up because I was too old to be commenting! Once from a younger man and once from a woman. Are we not allowed to have any opinions as we age? Are we, particularly as women of a certain age, meant to just go away and keep quiet? Where is this coming from? Is it worse now?
