We’re deluding ourselves with laws based on coloniality, not understanding that these laws don’t protect society nor do they put criminals on the right path. Raj dharma makes criminals and the wicked in society reflect on their fragility and mortality, as they lose their hands/life, whereas ‘jail time’ and judgments like ‘Every sinner has a future’ does not. The karma of the criminals gets to them one way or the other, but the leader must do their duty.
