He spent two nights having his blood sugar levels and liver function monitored. His liver function needed to be monitored for the next 2 months. Fortunately he is fine now…but it caused a lot of stress and worry not to mention the huge hit to the wallet (approx $7k).

Oh FYI the Xylitol people have relabeled themselves as Birch sugar now so keep an eye out for that in the ingredients as well

Our Brittany used to root thru the kids bags (figured out how to open the zippers) to get some gum (signal?) that came wrapped in blue and silver foil. The only observed I’ll effect was highly decorated poop all over the yard for a few days. She lived to be almost 16.

Our corgi got into a sealed container of Aussie Bites from Costco which have raisins in them and wound up at the ER vet for two nights at the tune of about a million dollars. He’s fine.

I had a corgi who unzipped my purse and ate an entire bag of foil wrapped milk chocolate Easter eggs. Pooped pastel foil for weeks but was fine. Years later he ate several squares of edible chocolate Marijuana. Gave hydrogen peroxide to make him vomit. He was quite high but recovered.He lived to be 13. My current corgi wouldn't touch any food without permission. Even cat food.
