Fun fact, a lot of our fruits that we buy from the store… are bad :) During closing/ opening some stores have employees go out and take all the fresh fruit and pick out the bad ones and replace the box with “better ones”. Most likely your fruit was pre exposed to bad fruits and the inside was rotting? Just my thought-

Salt would be a better idea

Try White Vinegar, Pink Himalayan Salt and Water. Baking soda and vinegar cause an acidic reaction that eats away at soft fruits like strawberries

You're cooking your berries with base. If you really want them clean, rinse them well, toss them with flour, then rinse all the flour off over a bucket to pour outside.

strawberries should only be quickly rinsed under water, never submerged, otherwise they will spoil and lose their taste

U just took the water out of it with the baking soda , maybe you didn’t mix the water ans the bs enough before putting the fruits idk ? Make jam out of it 🥰 it can be a great drizzle topping for your smoothies 😌🥰 yum yum

strawberries grow on top of the earth so soaking them in water ruins them. there is no husk on them so there is no extra potection from moisture. only vegetation that you can soak are carrots, beets, potatos, because they are grown “in ground water”z

This happened to me before and I did the same shit again like where’s there’s a way there’s a will tff>>>>>> the bruisin only happens when you put the soda directly on them then water <<<< put water , baking soda, then strawberry, and vinegar swish swish swish rinse then pat dry etc etc
