Because, the New Testament Gospels was spread and written in the Greek language. The Greek translation of his name meaning healer or savior was then translated into Latin. That eventually became the modernized Jesus. If we were to translate Yeshua directly into English His name would be Joshua. But whatever we call Him it is still Yeshua.☺️ This is why you shouldn’t make translations from translation.
