My nephew-in-law who was born and raised in Jamaica said of you were born in the states you’re just American. I asked since he is Jamaican wouldn’t that make his daughter Jamaican also and he said no. She’s American which makes sense when you think about it. Many people in other places go off of nationality ie: I’m not black, I’m Dominican. Well if she were born in America than wouldn’t it be the same thing? So the Answer is American.
