Being out-of-touch like that is a choice for an adult. Not knowing that people may not be able to afford something is just being deliberately obtuse. Maybe it’s excusable to miss out on some subtleties (e.g. not knowing about the anxiety of your kid getting a free benefit that they might not be eligible for or not actually be free and having to pay it back, etc.) if you’ve never experienced it, but you’re telling me there’s bankers walking around not knowing how 99% of the world lives?
