Send the hats to a buss (15%) , hipass some highs and lows out, saturate, send it thru reverb, spread the reverb out with a stereo width plugin so it’s not phasey and sitting in the same location. eq’ing the reverb lets it sit in the mix better instead of just puting in in series.
