Nobody gets “saved” today. Nobody today was ever born in Jerusalem under the governing authority that the Holy Temple held. That’s the Old Covenant law system. Ever since the temple got destroyed in 70AD, that entire system of beliefs and government got completely wiped out. We only have fragments of evidence of that society. So what’s being saved? Jesus in a way knew about the impending doom of Jerusalem. He was able to transition some Jews from the old covenant to the new. They got saved.
