So many of my clients think their kindness and empathy is a bad trait in corporate because it gets in the way of being assertive. But kindness and empathy are HOW you’ll be assertive in a way that’s effective and persuasive. Assertiveness without kindness and empathy is just aggressiveness and aggressiveness is usually ineffective in the long run because it pisses ppl off.
