Ribay is Filipino-American and he incorporated Pinoy culture in the Avatar universe. Balut, pagmamano, and Amihan are now official Avatar lore. The Philippines is the Fire Nation (kidding, the fire nation is a group of islands with culture a mix of SEA)! Anyways, kaka-start ko pa lang so can’t wait to discover more.
