I’ve seen some really interesting debate around the term midsize today. I identify with this term due to changing shifts in plus size representation - in modelling terms, plus size used to mean size UK 12 and up, now we are seeing plus size models who genuinely *are* plus size (eg size 20 and up), which is great! However, this still leaves women in the middle largely unrepresented in fashion media. The average woman in the UK is a size 16 (1/?)

If someone is looking for bodies that genuinely look closer to theirs in fashion media, terms like midsize can be useful. Overall I want to see all body sizes and shapes represented, and I’m starting to see some brands using at least 3 sizes of model to great success (e.g. @hellbunnyofficial who do it brilliantly).
