As I prep syllabi for a new term I often think back to my schooling. I like rethinking critique and conversations that are critical yet reflective and productive and about how much things have changed. I often think my students today couldn’t handle crits we had and I think that’s a good thing. Outside of class I still have a bit of that old school in me and can sound gruff or mean but for me it’s about the work and making things better. I Yell Because I Care Do you have any memorable crits?
