I was on it for 5 months and had to eventually back all the way off of it. I had every side effect for the entire time. The food aversions were the craziest part too 🙃

Was on it for years until the constant diarrhea left me chronically dehydrated. Monjauro got my A1c to behave!

My PCP swore I had pcos and insulin resistance and insisted on this even though my A1C was only 5.6. All it did was tear my stomach UP, tank my b12 levels. Didn’t even lose any weight. Gyn later says I don’t have pcos and to stop those pills. Immediately begin to feel better and less tired

It really does. I've been on it for years. It is rough for a while, but you will get through it and learn what foods it doesn't like. For me, it makes me feel awful if I eat a lot of sugar.

I am convinced people lose weight on metformin because they are so nauseous and can’t keep anything down. I was on it about 15 years ago. It is rough and my body never fully got used to it but I learned to cope by eating foods that were easier on the stomach.

The right probiotic can really help. For me, Nexabiotic almost completely stops the side effects.

I started extended release six months ago and had no symptoms. I take a probiotic a few hours before the metformin. Good luck.

If you aren’t on extended release, try that. It’s easier to handle. Make sure you take it with food and drink lots of water. It did get easier for me but I do find certain foods will cause me issues. So you may want to pay attention to that.
