I cannot explain how many times it has happened where an author has expressed interest in working together, given me a date I can expect to receive a manuscript for beta reading or dev edits or proofreading, had me schedule her only to ghost me when the time comes from me to receive the manuscript. or had me create graphics so they can get an idea of my style, only to tell me once I’ve create a whole weeks worth that they’re no longer interested. 2/3
