What's the shortest commercial flight you have ever been on? Mine was Denver to Colo Springs on a DC-10 (70 mi). Here's the story. I was flying from San Francisco to Colorado Springs on a DC-10. This was a late night flight. We landed in Denver to unload most of the passengers, then continued on to Colorado Springs. We did not gain much altitude and I joked that we drove the plane down I-25. I assume that it was cheaper to park the plane overnight in Colo Springs than park it in Denver.
