Just dumped my novel into chatgpt4o and asked it to summarize it. My gob is most thoroughly smacked. 1. Why did I do this? 2. What did I learn? 3. How might I use this? WriterThreads

This gave me heart palpitations. Maybe I’m wrong, but I feel like this gives ChatGPT access to use your work because it can’t really create new content. I know a couple of authors who had their finished book taken into AI sources without consent or compensation. When I played with AI, I asked for comparable titles, and it combined author names with other words and suggested books that didn’t exist. AI isn’t going away, but I hope it can be put in ethical boundaries.
