I do, but I switch to the ebike ride type. I like to have the map of where I've been and usually add some pictures to record the memory as well.

To normalize riding for transportation

I have a fancy odometer, but if I didn't I'd put my rides on there to track my $ and CO2 savings from commuting.

I use Strava for the social aspect. It's interesting to see what rides people are going on or how they are using bikes for transportation, and that gives something to chat about next time I see them. Biking is a mode of transportation - I don't care about fitness stats.

Strava is also a diary of my trips, after all, you can track commutes as a category, so Strava is not just for fitness

It's crazy to me that people don't realize you can still get a good workout with an ebike...

Have you rode on one and recorded any rides. Might give you a reference. It’s seems to me if you don’t change anything in the motors settings you’re going to see a difference in fitness. That’s what I have found and also that riding an ebike helps with my analog rides in the aerobic zone. As it’s rare you go anerobic in an e bike so it’s also a great recovery tool!

Guys who ride e-bikes usually do MTB enduro trails, so they use the motor part going up, and then bomb the trails downhill. Recording it on strava so they can check out a segment and can see their PR time etc.
