Yesterday, my teen sat me down to chat. The conversation was started with “hey mom, do you want to know what my pronouns are?” Me: In our last conversation you stated they were he/him, has this changed? (We are both autistic, and we recently had a chat on this at the Dr office when doing paperwork) Child: Yes! It has changed, I’ve been processing all of it and currently I identify as nonbinary, my pronouns are they/them, ok? Me: okay :) anything else? Them: nope! That’s it :) Just sharing ❤️
