Some of the goals of the game I'm designing are simplicity and grounding the UI in the world. I want to model the equipment system off of trinkets from Darkest Dungeon or overclocks from Deep Rock Galactic. In a Mahou Shojo themed setting, phone charms made sense. These will appear in a skeumorphic menu ui designed to look like a smartphone.
