Because some podcasts (including mine) have both audio and video versions. Same thing with radio stations that release videos of their shows. I would count people who watch episodes as podcast listeners/viewers, but I get why people reject the thought of videos as podcasts too.

一天內	Sarah Pollock sarah_likes_unicorns	I've never heard of a radio station releasing videos of their shows. I mean I guess Howard Stern is the only time I can think of. Maybe Charlemagne tha God with breakfast club.. I'm not saying that they shouldn't exist. I'm not saying that it is not a medium that works. Maybe even better than audio only. I'm just saying there needs to be a different word. We used to say vlog back in the day, Or web series. (Either way, I'm going to check out your podcast!)
