Righteousness to us today means good morality, righteousness to the 1st century Jews means only those with the Holy Bloodline of Jacob are righteous. These “holy” people believed that their god in their temple is the one and true God. It all got destroyed in 70AD. Just as Jesus said it would. The Jesus Gospel saved many out of that Tribulation.
