So, I'm kind of important at work now. They've put me in "The management Team" but I'm not a manager nor do I have any direct reports, but as the Analyst, I need to know some info before the rest of the masses. Big meeting today over an invoice error. Colleague is like "wonder what this stupid meeting is about" and I'm like "hmm, no idea!?" I should mention, this colleague and i started at the same level, same time, 18 years ago. I've recently gone up, she has not.
