One year ago, I sat in my now former boss’s office crying. I BEGGED for the opportunity to work from home. I had been juggling a stressful family situation, blew through all of my leave, etc. I had to leave that job because they did not offer remote work for me. It’s been an entire year of applying to remote jobs. HUNDREDS of applications. I’ve had a single interview and a handful of denials; everything else has been silence. Sorry, I just can’t believe I’ve been at this for a whole year.
