The rr is not a beginner bike imo. It's not as much of a track only bike as a 4 cylinder 600, but it's still a track bike lol

Best beginner bike to me is the Suzuki Gs500F good amount of power light weight and fun to play on, if u want bigger than a 500 start on a SV650 also by Suzuki. Any bike can be for beginners just respect the bike. It’s not if u go down but when you go down. Have the right gear on have knowledge of what to do if something unexpected happens. Take a riding course and you’ll be fine.

I wouldn’t recommend the zx-4rr to beginners at all. That’s way too much money to be dropping, as beginner riders tend to do. If we consider the average skill of most beginner riders, their main focus should be on mastering the basics. A lower-displacement engine facilitates this because of its manageable power output. I’m coming from a viewpoint of safety. I’m not saying that beginners can’t start on 600s, but it is easier for new riders, on the whole, to master basic skills on a 400.

Because it's not that simple. An SV650 or KLR650 is a great beginner bike. A CBR600RR could be damn near suicidal for an untrained beginner. You could start out on a R1200GS if you wanted. Starting out on an S1000RR or Hayabusa? No one should even sell you that without 5+ years of sport riding.

600cc is a beginner bike. 400cc is a kids bike.
