More churches should do this rather than support missionaries in other countries. They should focus on helping local people. It's insane that they don't. Also, I hate the churches who spend $$ on huge crosses on the side of the road or like a megachurch not to far from me, a huge Jesus statue. The first one burned down after being struck by lightning and they apparently didn't see that as a sign from God that they were spending money on the wrong thing, so they built a new one.
