Breastmilk also doesn’t keep babies full very long like formula would. And the baby could be cluster feeding or just growing. But every 2-2.5 hrs is normal when breastfeeding ! My son is the same way! He’s 4months btw ! I exclusively BF.

How I know when he has enough? When he’s dozing off on the boob or he’s not latching anymore .. knew he was getting enough when he continued to grow and gain weight. Also keeping track of pee & 💩 diapers to be sure they are getting what they need from the milk!

If baby is having enough wet nappies and growing/ gaining weight, you know he’s getting enough. New borns really want to be suckling at all times - for comfort as well as milk. ❤️

Newborns feed every 1.5 to 2hrs. Your breasts respond to the stimulation and learn to make enough milk. If baby eats formula for a meal but you want to keep BF, pump while baby has the formula. It's very much demand/supply. If you stop offering, the milk will dry up. Always offer both breasts at each feeding

Breast milk is easily digested by babies & there will not be big solids in their diaper as a result, mostly a yellow stain. Once in a while you might get a " blow out" though.

Totally normal, honestly every 5 minutes is also normal.

Totall normal for a breastfed baby. It's tiring and you feel like all they do is feed, but as long as they have plenty of wet nappies, gaining weight and seem happy then you're doing amazing job. Almost 7 months exclusively breastfeeding my baby over here

This is super normal, babies just eat really frequently at this age. I would recommend just continuing to feed when baby shows hunger cues. That is what is best for your milk supply too! Nursing in the side lying position can help if you’re feeling exhausted. Make sure you’re on a safe sleep surface like a firm mattress with no pillows/blankets near baby ♥️

They’ll be crying if they’re hungry. Every baby is different. Mine might eat 8oz every 3 hrs or maybe only 4oz … but she’s healthy. It’s like us, some days we want more than others.
