Kafka on the other hand, fails the tests to join the force and works in a team that cleans the remnants of monster attacks (severed limbs, spilled guts, etc.). While working, a new hire joins, Reno Ichikawa, and becomes Kafka’s understudy who motivates Kafka to take the test again.
