Art is the end result of expression. Its meaning takes shape via the user and the observer. A.I. is just a tool like another art medium that exists. It belongs in the space.

I can understand why designers fear AI, but for me I allow it to take over aspects that I used to outsource beforehand anyway. Mock ups being a great example. I have no issue with Generative Fill, or adding elements that I can't find royalty free images of. But I draw the line at letting AI determine your idea, instead AI should help you realise your idea.

AI is not autonomous. It depends on a human user like any other art software. The conversation about ai ethics is getting conflated with intellectual property. And as an artist who has art in the LAION dataset that everyone is crying about - I have had a lot of fun experimenting with AI and leveraging it in my 3D art. No more paying for texture subscriptions for basic textures for a scene or searching - so I have more time to do the fun parts of scene building like modeling assets.

Creativity is about being creative. If you’re not going to do the work then take up another hobby.

I wish I could say I support it too. But A.I. made art is starting to infiltrate the art world. To me, it's a Terminator origin story. I'll take the simple graphic assists (line correction, color suggestions, etc.. ) but I draw the line with self-guided art.
