After a particularly scary sugery and really my last shot at being cancer free from a recurrence of lung cancer, a couple I didn’t know very well drove 4 hours just to visit with me in the hospital for a short time and pray with me. I couldn’t believe it. I had never spent time with them outside of church. I was flabbergasted and so touched they did an 8 hour round trip for what amounted to about a 30 minute visit. Just the sweetest surprise. I will never forget that.

An online friend prayed for me and even lit a candle for me on her trip to the Vatican. Nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. 🥹

I had a friend that remembered when I had chemo and when roughly I would start to feel sick. She would show up with Panera soup in this small window of time. She would also take my kitten and just play with her for an hour because she knew how giluikty I felt not having the energy to do so when I was sick🥰

It is not a journey. It is a kidnapping. I did not choose to pack my camera and go somewhere. I was abducted and assaulted.
