God is not silent, He appeared as Jesus Christ and speaks through His Word the bible and in the hearts and minds of those who have an intimate relationship with HIM. He is not in active all things are according to His sovereign will and decree. God is not undetectable because you see evidence of Him in creation and in His governance of all things. He has an eternal plan that is working out in history just because he has not revealed it in a manner you prefer does not mean it is not happening.
